The opening ceremony starts at 19:30 on Wednesday and marks the official beginning of the event. The evening brings together participants, guests, and partners for a formal celebration.
The program includes a welcome address, presentation of the nations, short speeches from speakers, and an atmospheric conclusion that builds engagement and anticipation for the rest of the program.

Kårvatn Skimo is a skimo race with proud traditions. Since 2010, races have been held here every year as part of the Norwegian Cup, Scandinavian Cup, Norwegian Championships – and this year as the YWC. Be part of the celebration! The competition is open to everyone.

Organizer of Kårvatn Skimo
Trollheimen Mountain Sports Club is the organizer of Kårvatn Skimo. Trollheimen Mountain Sports Club was created to embrace everyone who enjoys using the mountains as an arena for training and competition, both in summer and winter. And to help young talents in mountain running and ski mountaineering move forward and upward!

— A MECCA FOR SKIMO —
Kårvatn Skimo starts and finishes at the Kårvatn farm at the innermost part of Todalen in Nordmøre.
— WE STARTED IN 2010 —
The first skimo competition that was held was the Scandinavian Cup in 2010. This was among the first skimo races ever organized in Norway.
— VARIED COURSE —
The event takes place in varied terrain with both forest and alpine high mountains. The surroundings and views are magnificent and strikingly beautiful!
